Changelog

What changed, and when

Written by the people who made the change. Fixes are listed with the same weight as features, because a fix is usually what somebody was waiting for.

Version 1.4

July 16, 2026

Use-it-up, front and centre

  • Pantrly now sorts your pantry by what is about to go bad and builds at least one meal around it, with a plain reason and a quick idea for each item.
  • Expiry hints are shown as a soft honey mark, never an alarm, so the app nudges rather than nags.
  • Fixed a case where an item with no expiry date was sorted above items expiring tomorrow.

Version 1.3

June 3, 2026

Snap your shelf

  • You can now add ingredients by photo. Point your phone at the fridge or the shelf and Pantrly reads what it can see into a list you can correct.
  • Recognition asks you to confirm anything it is unsure about rather than guessing, because a wrong item is worse than a missing one.
  • The whole read now happens in one request and usually under two seconds.

Version 1.2

April 21, 2026

Smarter shopping lists

  • The shopping list now only ever contains what you are actually missing, checked against your saved pantry, and never adds staples you clearly already have.
  • Missing items are grouped by the recipe that needs them, so you can drop a recipe and the list updates.
  • Allergies are now excluded from the shopping list as well as the recipes.

Want something on this list? Tell us. Most of what ships here started as a cook pointing out something the app missed or a meal they wanted to try.
